Casali Cakes Terms and Conditions
By placing an order from Casali Cakes, the customer has understood and agreed to the terms and conditions stated below.
Casali Cakes will only have a conversation with the named customer on the invoice that has placed the order. It is their sole responsibility of the product/s chosen, design and dietary requirements. Messages from family members or friends will not be accepted.
If you have requested a quote, this does not mean your booking is viable. A deposit will need to be paid to have the quote accepted. Once the deposit is made the customer is then in a legal contract with Casali Cakes. Payment is by bank transfer. Casali Cakes works on a first come first served basis.
There is an equipment hire charge if a stand or display is required. A deposit is required and will be refunded if the item/s are not damaged. A £5 charge will be applied per day if the items are not returned.
An invoice will be sent to confirm your booking via email address. The recipient has until 1 week prior of the cake being due to for the final balance to be paid (4 weeks for wedding cakes). If the payment is not received by this time this will be treated as a breach of contract, a late fee will be applied, a delay in making the cake or a cancellation. If the customer wishes to cancel the order, this needs to be done in writing and sent to the Casali Cakes email address. Casali Cakes will give the customer the chance to move the date of the order (if date available) or keep the deposit.
The deposit will not be refunded if over a 24 hour period. Quotations are only valid for 30 days from the date sent to the customer.
Casali Cakes does offer local delivery at a fee, when available and depending on the location. This will be applied in the quote. A collection or delivery date and time will be negotiated but it is the customers responsibility if they are collecting the products to not be late of the appointed time otherwise another time may have to be arranged and a late fee will apply.
When a wedding cake is purchased a non refundable deposit of £100 is required, the remaining balance is to be paid 4 weeks before the wedding date. If cake/ dessert table set up is required, Casali Cakes will be able to at an additional cost or can provide instructions of how to stage the cake to verified venue staff. Both will need a signature to complete the exchange. A display stand is an optional extra, which a security deposit must be paid.
Casali Cakes is not responsible for any payment reminders.
Minimum order total is £55 for a celebration cake / £80 for a dessert table/ £200 for a wedding cake.
If dowels are used in a tiered cake, these will need to be removed before the cake is eaten. Casali Cakes will give a list of instructions of how to store and cut a cake where possible.
By the product leaving the premises, the customer agrees the design is satisfactory and they have accepted the exchange. If anything was to impair/ damage the product after the exchange it is solely the customers responsibility.
If there has been damage to a product that is repairable, Casali Cakes will do the upmost to correct it but at a
additional cost. If the customer finds there is an issue after the product has been dispatched, then photo evidence
and the product will need to be provided and returned within 48 hours otherwise any issue will be void.
If a bespoke personalised topper is ordered, it is the customers responsibility to have checked the spelling and other details are correct.
Casali Cakes are not accountable for the risk of loss or damage to cake toppers after they have been displayed on a cake/ been left in a safe place.
Precautions are taken to make sure allergy and dietary conditions are met, but Casali Cakes cannot guarantee 100% of cross contamination as all products are handled in the same kitchen. All known allergens and ingredients are provided on the products and listed in their description on the site ( including Etsy). They must be read before ordering and double checked before consumption. It is down to the customer if they proceed with the order and consume the products.
Please let Casali Cakes know of any conditions during the time of booking so a bespoke quote can be made with
suitable ingredients if possible.
Inspiration pictures are welcomed but Casali Cakes will not replicate a cake like for like.
Casali Cakes has the right to reject the order if copyright infringement laws are breached, a recreation of substance abuse is asked for, any identifying information such as an address or telephone number, discrimination or hatred of any kind.
Casali Cakes reserves the right to use the photographs taken of a cake to be uploaded and used on social media.
Threats, abuse, insults, bullying and any slander through all forms of social media and platforms of communication is not tollerated and will lead to orders being revoked, not refunded and possible legal action.
